Unlike our last update Winter Wonder, which was a walk through the Xmas park, this new update features harder levels to test your jumping skills. Each level comes with a brand-new Special Bot to rescue and, once that’s done, can be replayed in Time Attack mode with online rankings. To access these, you will need to have completed the main game. Plenty of stages require patience, awareness and a high degree of platforming skill, though resets are generous and failure doesn’t cost anything other than your time. Completionists will have a great time with this one — there are so many secret passages and hidden bots to find, most of them cleverly tucked away and easily missed unless you’re actively looking for them.

Balan wasn’t great but each suit even for 80 to me went yeah I can sense each has a fair purpose even if not implemented well of the use cases, it still has a use. Like Rayman 3 did with it’s suits which is why I bought Balan, I still got my fun out of it besides how bad it is for sure. But I think this all the time with videos I watch/games I play/research and end up with large comments like this.

I play with my controller mic off by default, and I’d find lifting it up to my mouth to be immersion-breaking. @rjejr Don’t get me wrong, it makes full use of all DualSense’s features — you’ll be tilting the controller and blowing into the mic (and yes there is a little bit of that climbing mechanic from Playroom, but just the one level). I am very happy to see Astro Bot is such a polished 3D platformer. Back to mid budget single player titles without all the heavy stakes attatched if it fails. Considering the industry is influx, it’s not farfetched this will be the go-to again.

The result was Astro’s Playroom, a 3D platformer that was, once again, released as a free game designed to showcase a new piece of hardware. It came pre-installed on the PlayStation 5 when it went on sale in 2020. It was easily one of the best games available on the system at launch. But im very frustrated by how cruel the last extra level can be. I hate the level design, totally unbalenced when compared to the rest of the game. Team Asobi has announced that five new levels are coming to Astro Bot as weekly drops, starting on Feb. 13.

If you missed it when it first launched in September, Astro Bot is a charming adventure game that mixes beautifully designed levels with fun platforming gameplay. This means that after the thrill of the game’s nostalgic moments wears off, there is not much reason to play after its 15 hours are up. These occasionally repetitive enemies are also an important part of Astro Bot’s difficulty. The main levels are never too tough – the real challenge is finding all the bots and collectibles – but there are special secret levels that test your skill. These have no checkpoints, so they’re not for the faint of heart.
